Introduction

For a research paper, I had to choose a topic that I am interested in. I am very passionate about fashion, especially the classic, preppy style. Ralph Lauren is one of my all time favorite designers, as well as a very inspiring man. From the beginning, when Ralph Lauren came into the fashion industry until now, he has recreated many designs that have influenced the American public. The themes for his collections range from safari to the “old money look” , but they all have the same sophisticated, classic style. Lauren started off in working for fashion, working for style. His influence in this industry is incredible. His style has created a “Lauren-esque” genre of fashion that restates prep. Ralph Lauren has affected American’s, and his image has redefined the “All American Look”.
